Announcing the "Helping Hands Ministry"!
What is the Helping Hands Ministry?
It is an organized way to express
our love for Jesus through helping the Senior Adults and Widows of
our congregation with small chores, errands, etc..
How does
it work?
| 1st :
Members of the congregation who are willing to offer their
help to Senior Adults and Widows should
fill
out the form here, indicating what type of help
they can give. [note: anyone under 18 years of age who
wishes to sign up must have parental permission.] Anyone can
sign up, even the Senior Adults and Widows who want to offer
their help to fellow church members. |
| |
| 2nd : A
list of "Helpers" will be compiled and made available to all
the Senior Adults (age 55 and over) and Widows (any age) of
our congregation. |
| |
3rd :
Senior Adults and Widows will initiate a call for help by:
(a) lf a person is in need of transportation
help, they should directly call people listed under the
transportation category on the helper list and schedule to their
mutual convenience.
(b) lf the help needed is a small indoor or
outdoor household project or chore, they will call the team
Coordinator, Mary Sue Bakehorn, who will communicate with the
appropriate Helping Hands team members. "Helping Hands Work Days"
will then be set (schedule to be determined). Members of the Helping
Hands team will go out on the designated work days and provide the
needed help free of charge [note: the help requestor is responsible
for the cost of the materials.] |
Please pray about how God would have you use your abilities to come
to the aid of the Senior Adults and Widows in our congregation
through the Helping Hands Ministry!
Fill out this form, and return
it to church office by May 31.
